Brandon Kindell
Chef Brandon has been in the food service industry for more than 27 years and has won many awards including three Army achievement medals and five Thanksgiving cooking competitions. He was born and raised in Canton, Ohio and there he was inspired by his mother, who also wanted to be a chef, learning from her at a young age. While a freshman in high school, he landed his first job cooking for his school cafeteria. After graduating in 2001 he moved to southwest Florida where he cooked in restaurants and nursing homes before joining the military in 2007. Chef Brandon then cooked in the army for nearly a decade. While in the military, he had the opportunity to cook in South Korea, Germany, Kuwait, and France. After leaving the military, Chef Brandon moved to Miami where he attended Johnson and Wales University. He graduated with an associate degree in culinary arts and a bachelor's degree in food service management. Chef Brandon spent a semester study abroad in Paris, France. While in France, Chef Brandon studied farm to table cuisine at École de Cuisine, a culinary school started by Michelin's highest-ranking chef, Chef Alain Ducasse. Upon returning to Miami, Chef Brandon started a private chef business, where he offers cooking lessons, party meals, and meal prep plans. Chef Brandon’s favorite cuisine to cook is Indian style and Asian cuisine, specifically Korean cuisine. Chef Brandon is very passionate about food and has always been passionate about cooking for others.
