George Zappas
Originally from Pittsburgh, Chef George moved to Cincinnati in 2006 and attended culinary school at Mid-West Culinary Institute. At the same time, he started his Cincinnati culinary journey at the Netherland Plaza Hilton and Orchids at the Palm Court. He spent the next 11 years working his way through the kitchens, having several different roles such as Sous Chef, Banquet Chef, Butcher, Director of Purchasing, Assistant Food and Beverage Director. In that time, he also worked under Steven Geddes, Master Sommelier. Chef George spent a year and a half teaching as an adjunct instructor at Mid-West Culinary Institute. In 2018 he became the executive chef at the Netherland Plaza and Orchids at the Palm Court. His career shifted in 2020 when he went on to open TQL stadium for FC Cincinnati.
